Deputy Quality Manager ISO 17025 & 9001:2008
Kieran has over 20 years of industrial experience in pharmaceutical and environmental chemistry. In previous positions, Kieran has been involved in developing analytical chemistry methods, validation, and research and development.
He has developed the testing scope within CLS including PAH (polyaromatic hydrocarbons) and had a key input into the development of screening for diesel and petrol range organics, (DRO and PRO), and MTBE/BTEX in water and soil samples as well as volatile organic compounds (VOC).
In July 2010 Kieran was appointed to lead the CLS research and development department and carries out technical assessments and manages the documentation systems. In November 2011 he was appointed as deputy quality manager and is responsible for the maintenance and management of the ISO 17025 quality management systems in the Environmental Services Department and supports the Quality Manager. He has successfully led the department in recent INAB and EQA audits including the extension to scope for MTBE/BTEX/PRO and DRO in soils.
Finally, Kieran has been a key support in strategic planning such as investment in new equipment/technologies, new laboratories and extensions and company business plans.
Kieran holds the following 3rd level qualifications from Queens’s University, Belfast: M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry. In addition, he currently holds a vocational certificate for Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA)
